Source: Russian cbank aware of financial cyberattacks plans
MOSCOW, Dec 2 (PRIME) -- The central bank is well aware of massive cyberattacks that are being prepared to destabilize Russia’s financial system, and is cooperating with law enforcement agencies to prevent them, a source close to the central bank said on Friday.
“The central bank knows and is working jointly (with the Federal Security Service),” the source said.
The security service said on its Web site that foreign special services are preparing large-scale cyberattacks against the Russian financial system, including its biggest banks, starting from December 5.
Control centers behind the attacks are located in the Netherlands and belong to Ukrainian company BlazingFast.
The Federal Security Service is taking measures to neutralize threats for the economic and information security.
